This Privacy Policy explains how Learnovate Innovations Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use the EcoStep mobile application and website. This Policy is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and is designed to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").

What we do not collect: EcoStep does not use GPS and does not track your location route. Step counting happens on your device using the built-in sensor.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide step tracking, CO₂ estimates, and the rewards program;
- To process reward payouts and in-app purchases;
- To detect and prevent fraud, multiple accounts, and step manipulation;
- To display advertisements that fund the free rewards program;
- To comply with legal obligations, including tax deduction and record-keeping;
- To communicate service updates and respond to support requests.
3. Legal Basis and Consent
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you provide when you create an account and accept this Policy. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account, subject to our legal retention obligations.
4. Sharing of Data
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Payment partners (payment gateways, UPI payout providers) to process transactions;
- Government authorities where required by law.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and thereafter as required by applicable law (including tax and company law record-keeping requirements, typically up to 8 years for financial records). Data no longer required is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your Rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention requirements;
- Withdraw consent;
- Nominate an individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity;
- Raise a grievance with us and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Children
EcoStep is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure, to protect your data. No system is completely secure; you use the App at your own risk to that extent.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified within the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
